Patricia A. Murphy leads the firm's employment group.  For over 23 years, Patricia has represented and counseled employers in connection with all aspects of the employment relationship, including hiring, classification, compensation, discipline and discharge policies, as well as wage and hour, disability accommodation, privacy and protected leave issues. She also drafts executive, compensation, confidentiality and separation agreements.

Patricia has represented employers in state and federal courts and in administrative proceedings in wrongful discharge, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, fraud, defamation, privacy, trade secret and wage and hour cases (individual and class actions).  She also conducts workplace investigations and provides mandatory sexual harassment training.

Patricia has practiced in her own law firm, with Otis, Canli & Iriki LLP, Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison LLP and Steptoe & Johnson LLP and served as General Counsel at U.S. Wireless Corporation.  She is a graduate of American University and received her J.D. cum laude from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where she was a member of the McAulliffe Honor Society.
